The Future Sound Of London Environments 3 - vinyl LP

Originally intended to follow Lifeforms in the 1990s, The Future Sound Of London’s Environments 3, reissued on vinyl LP, eventually surfaced in 2010.

The album takes a notably minimal approach, leaving behind the heavier atmospheres of Lifeforms and the darker chaos of Dead Cities. Calm, spacious pieces sit alongside more desolate and gently industrial passages, showing another side of FSOL’s ambient work. Long regarded by fans as one of the group’s great lost recordings, Environments 3 captures them in particularly exploratory form.
