Manu Chao - Clandestino

Manu Chao with the 2013 edition of Clandestino on double vinyl LP with CD included, making it a must-have for any music collector or fan of Manu Chao's unique sound.

The first solo album released by the former frontman of Mano Negra, Clandestino, is an enchanting trip through Latin-flavored worldbeat rock. The album is reliant on a potpourri of musical styles from traditional Latin and salsa to dub, rock and roll, French pop, experimental rock, and techno.

Manu Chao's first solo effort, Clandestino, owed its greatness to its character. It was a minimalistic yet filled with experimentation album. What's most distinctive about it was its honesty, directness, and intimacy. The album felt like a personal diary of someone who had traveled a lot, not only around Latin America but through life.
