The Mouse and the Mask is the 2005 collaborative album from MF DOOM and producer Danger Mouse, released under the joint name DANGERDOOM on Lex Records. Built around Cartoon Network's late-night Adult Swim programming block, the record features appearances from characters across Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Space Ghost, and Harvey Birdman, woven into DOOM's typically labyrinthine wordplay and Danger Mouse's beats, which sample heavily from Adult Swim's television output. Guest features include Talib Kweli, Ghostface Killah, and Cee Lo Green.
The album debuted at number two on the Billboard Independent Albums chart and remains one of the most inventive collaborative records in underground hip-hop. This deluxe double vinyl LP edition is presented in the original custom frosted plastic outer sleeve with metallic Pantone-printed inner sleeves, designed by long-term Lex collaborator EH Questionmark.
